Over the years SCC has raised a large amount of money for a number of charities both locally in our Community and further afield. Here is a summary of the last six years:
In 2017 the SCC will be fundraising for the following charities:
Raised for Cancer Research at our Awash concert
Concert’ina in The Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford on 7 October supported Mind, the mental health charity.
Our Christmas Concert on 9 December will be supporting the Wilton branch of Riding for the Disabled Association.
Raised for ‘Elevate’(an Artcare project at Salisbury Hospital) at our Christmas Concert in Wilton.
Raised at our Autumn concert in Downton for Downton Moot.
raised at our Arrivederci concert in April for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
raised at our Christmas concert for Julia House.
raised in our Summer concert for the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust.
given to the Rainbow Trust in May from the Concert for Rowan held in Guildford Cathedral.
raised for Nepal earthquake appeal.
raised from our Christmas Concert in Wilton Church for Home-Start South Wiltshire.
given to Rainbow Trust in December from the sale of CDs. We also gave the Trust 100 CDs, amounting to a further donation of £140 (cost) and a potential of £500 if sold for £5.
raised from our November Remembrance Concert in Wilton church for SSAFA the Forces charity.
raised from our May Concert in Lincoln Cathedral for St Barnabas Hospice, Lincoln.
donations given through the sale of ‘Inside My Heart’ CD’s for The Rainbow Trust.
raised from July Summer Concert in St Thomas’s Church Salisbury for Alzheimer’s Society Local Support Services.
raised for the Salisbury Hospice from our Birthday Concert.
raised for The Rainbow Trust from our Christmas Concert.
was raised for the Fezeka Scholarship fund.
